This year Highworth Youth Centre is the Highworth Mayor's Charity of the Year. The Youth Centre works with a wide range of young people in the town from a variety of different backgrounds. We work with young people to support them through the many issues they face and seek to empower them to make the right choices and to stay away from risky behaviours.

Over the two years we have been open, local residents, Warneford School, Highworth Police and the young people themselves have often commented on the difference the centre has made to community life in Highworth. Young people have been quoted to say, that the youth centre 'gets them off the streets' and 'the youth workers are easy to talk to and help with stuff'.

On Saturday 4th September the Mayor and young people will be running a raffle at the Highworth Produce show to raise money for the centre. We are writing to you to ask if you would kindly support us in this by donating a prize for the raffle. If you are able to do this then please contact Anna, one of our youth workers on 07766368368 orapope@swindon.gov.uk. Any help is greatly appreciated and we will promote your support at the produce show and to those attending the youth centre.
